Washington (November 1, 2017) – As President Donald Trump plans a stop in Seoul, South Korea as part of his first trip to Asia, Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), and Congressman John Conyers, Jr. (MI-13) will hold a press conference on Thursday, November 2 to reassert Congress’s Constitutional power over approving a first strike against North Korea. Recent polling demonstrates that more than two-thirds of the American people believe that the United States should attack North Korea only if North Korea attacks first.
